Nähtamatu Teater (Invisible Theatre) examines how to mediate experiencing a performance without vision, while searching for tools that could break the narrative of storytelling, by creating sound landscapes and associations with the help of body and hearing memory. “Sõnalausuja” (“The Word Whisperer”) is a performance that is made for both people with vision impairment and others, whose visual perception will be hidden with blindfold for the performance.
“Just as the song of the birds sowed horror and fear in the wanderers, the power of words is a simple way to affect and intimidate us. Fear and ignorance are what make us freeze. Fear makes us small and fearful of our surroundings."
The performance is based on Nikolai Roerich’s tale “Horrors”.
Team: Aljona Tubaleva (Nähtamatu teater), Jane Meresmaa-Roos (Teoteater), Kristjan Kannukene.
